Welcome to Wild Nim Gaming, where you'll be joining someone who is genuinely learning Pokémon from the ground up.
Who Am I?
My name is the creator behind Wild Nim Gaming, and I live in Geelong, Victoria, Australia.
While I've been playing Pokémon GO since shortly after its launch, my knowledge of the wider Pokémon universe has always been fairly limited. I know enough to enjoy catching Pokémon and exploring, but when it comes to card collecting, game lore, competitive play, and the hundreds upon hundreds of Pokémon that exist, I'm very much still a student.
And honestly?
That's what makes this adventure exciting.
Why Start Wild Nim Gaming?
Most Pokémon content online comes from people with years, sometimes decades, of experience.
That's fantastic, but it can also feel overwhelming for newcomers.
Wild Nim Gaming is different.
This is a place where you'll get to see someone learn in real time. I'll be exploring Pokémon cards, discovering the different sets, learning how to identify cards, understanding rarities, playing through the Nintendo Switch Pokémon games, and documenting everything along the way.
There will be successes.
There will be mistakes.
There will almost certainly be moments where I completely misunderstand something before eventually figuring it out.
And that's all part of the fun.
A Little More About Me
Outside of Pokémon, I'm a bit of a gaming and animal enthusiast.
I've spent countless hours playing World of Warcraft, where my main character is a Druid. I've also lost track of how many hours I've invested in Planet Zoo, creating habitats and caring for virtual animals.
Animals have always been one of my biggest passions. I share my home with two cats, including a magnificent Maine Coon who believes he's the actual owner of the house.
I also love travelling and exploring new places whenever I get the opportunity. Whether it's discovering a new city, a new country, or a new Pokémon game mechanic, I enjoy the excitement of uncovering something I haven't experienced before.
One thing I won't be exploring too closely, however, is spiders.
Some adventures have limits.
The Pokémon Learning Journey
One of my biggest goals is to work through the various Nintendo Switch Pokémon games to build a stronger understanding of the Pokémon world.
Alongside that, I'll be:
Learning Pokémon card collecting
Exploring different Pokémon sets
Working toward collection goals
Sharing Pokémon GO adventures
Creating blogs and guides from a beginner's perspective
Documenting discoveries, mistakes, and lessons learned
Connecting with other collectors and fans
If you're already a Pokémon expert, there's a good chance you'll see me get things wrong from time to time. Feel free to share your knowledge and help me learn.
